pgruebele, thanks for your suggestion! I did exactly what you suggested, except i didn't touch the transformers when the amp is on, for SAFETY concerns. After i shut the amp off and rotated the transformers, the hum went away! Thanks for your feedback.

My MK VI also has some transformer buzz on the right channel. However, this is definitely not due to DC or overvoltage AC. I checked my AC with a scope and it looks good. I also ran the VI off a UPS and the problem stays the same.<BR/><BR/>The only thing that helped a little is to pop open the transformer cover and through trial and error move the tranformer a bit while the amp was on. DC in AC does contribute to transformer hum/buzz. However, there is no way to know for sure if it's DC current in my main circuit that is causing the buzz. As a standalone product, the review of the MK6 should not have to be tested with dedicated power supply, unless otherwise stated in the product description.

Nice review.<BR/><BR/>I wanted to buy this amp, but after reading the high buzz issue, I am not so sure.<BR/><BR/>I think I will wait until they revise or repair this issue.<BR/><BR/>IMHO, such hot temperature with such high noise/buzz is NOT acceptable for quite listening.
